I was thinking I'd have to pay closer to thirty dollars for this guy. Blackberry phones suffer from the problem of their awful charging port - mine actually broke and I cannot charge it at all to charge, sync, or update. Obviously, this is a major problem.

However, at least with this cradle, I can charge my phone, which is absolutely better than nothing. Furthermore, if you use one of these to charge your phone normally, then you won't be plugging things in and out of that awful USB port, so that should extend the life of it. Do note that this cradle does not permit a data sync or anything; all it does is charge.

There's a little USB port in the back of this cradle; you plug your wall plug into that. Therefore you could even theoretically use it in your car. Note that this product does not come with the wall plug of its own. How does it work? Well, those two little gold plates on the back of your phone actually work as battery charging contact points; they're not just pretty.

You can tell when you've plugged the USB in all the way because the BB logo on the front lights up, which is pretty snazzy looking. That light stays on all the time; some people like it, some people don't.

I don't like to use the word "pimp" as an adjective, but this charging stand is pretty pimp. I think it's a very stylish accessory, and because of the miniUSB port problem, I think it's an essential one to have.

I have a blackberry tour and have one of these stands for it and love it. My wife has the blackberry curve and she has been manually plugging the cord in each night and it's a little pain. She was a bit envious of my charger so I found her one and put it in her stocking for christmas. She said it has to be one of her favorite gifts she received this year because now all she has to do is drop her blackberry into the charger at night without messing with plugs.

It is true this will NOT sync your blackberry, this appears to be a charging cradle only. And that's exactly why I bought it so for that I give it 5 stars. Works well, it has a dim white light that lights up on the front behind the blackberry logo which helps find the cradle with the lights off so if you access your blackberry in the middle of the night you can easily put it back in the cradle.

Great quality, great design, great product.

This base looks great, is very solid, and works exactly as expected. The recharger that comes with BlackBerry plugs into the back of this cradle and charges through two connectors on the back of the BlackBerry, so this will not work with most "skin" type cases.

I like that the BlackBerry screen is visible when it is in the cradle so I can see my email and phone calls. Due to the weight and the rubberized base this is a very stable base, which allows you to still use the BlackBerry when seated in the base.

Highly Recommended

It is an excellent product- the only downfall is that if you have a skin on your blackberry, you have to remove it before placing the blackberry in the cradle.
