Can I use any sim card in my cell phone?

I'm buying a new cell phone a Samsung F250, can I use my o2 sim card with it?
my old phone was a motorola razr by the way
also the phone is going to be unlocked!

you can only use a sim card that is from the network that the phone is on if it is the same network then it should work if not then you would have to get phone unlocked or new sim card from current provider
