I tried to upgrade the maps for a friend. Put wrong date by accident (year) on their website and it locked us out. Took me three days to get to talk to an agent in the support and all they offered is to send them the device so they do the update. I could not believe. And the date we put by accident (by the way their website offer default 2007) was before the device even showed on the market.

DO NOT BUY THIS. BAD SUPPORT. BAD TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS. SAD FOR MOTOROLA WHO I BELEVIED BEFORE WAS A VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY!!!!

Motorola has 2 GPS units on the market. I have this TN-30 and it’s fine as a basic GPS plus the handsfree Bluetooth speakerphone is nice. The problem I have is that Motorola has done nothing for this device since it’s release. If you go to the Motorola website and look for new maps or firmware updates or different voices or anything, then you will see that nothing exists.

I received this device as a gift so no loss on my end but if I was looking to buy a GPS I would stay away from this one until Motorola decides to really make the leap and provide support for it.
